spaciousness and comfort of room and of ensuite shower room
traffic noise, though it was muted by double glazing
Free carpark. Looked very nice from outside.
There was no saucer for the cups at the breakfast table.(Required for spoon and t-bag) Cheap tasting links sausage.
very good situation to the city excellent poridge which wasnt on the menu and we asked for it and was no probolem
could not see out of the room unless we stood up
Excellent place very confortable. Great room for one person. Warm Welcome.
No breakfast!! My plane was at 6:45. So, it was too early to have somebody preparing the breakfast. When I arrived, the young woman said that it will be "self-service" at 5:00 on the morning. However, there was nothing, no coffee, no bread and I managed only to find in a fridge some orange juce....For his price (58 pounds) we are waiting for a real breakfast! This point very disapointing !!
A warm welcome on arrival. Rooms cleaned daily, fresh towels daily. Food was excellent, the choice was very good. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family. The furniture was mismatched, but everything you needed was there. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I liked the location on a main bus line which made getting around easier. The staff were very helpful for this.
It is central to shopping centres and a lot of amenities. There are nice places to eat or get a takeaway close by. Breakfast room is very nice and the food/Selection was good.
This could be a very nice hotel/lodge but the room we stayed in required re decorating and a good clean E.G. skirting boards and door facings( a lot of dust).
From its location, it was easy to get not only into the centre of Edinburgh but also to access the motorways to travel further afield
The bed was a little uncomfortable
Everything - had to wait at the door to get in after ringing the door bell for ages. Only saw one person in the hotel the night I was there and that was the girl on duty.
Friendliness of staff.
Room too warm, bed could be more comfortable, breakfast ok, couldn't watch tv in bed. Not a proper car park - once parked blocked in by other residents, needs to be improved & enlarged. £2 card surcharge imposed by hotel, not advised of this beforehand.
The bus service to edinburgh was very good. Every five minutes or so.
Very old fashioned and tired looking. Very strict times for breakfast. Seemed to disconnect TV aerial at 9 am as we couldnt get a picture after that time.
Friendly hotel in a good location and represents good value for money at the rate I got, not sure I would have wanted to pay full asking price. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean apart from a good breakfast you couldn't want much more from a B & B. Thank you.
Thought they struggled a little at breakfast time with only one person serving and clearing away etc, had to wait a while to be acknowledged and be seated. Breakfast room was tight, perhaps remove a table or three. Full breakfast wasn't great quality although the portion was fine and the continental was even worse especially the portion, sliced processed cheese! Parking was promised and they told me to park on street because the car park was full, but they could have moved the hotel bus and allowed a few more vehicles in. Would stay again but if the breakfast doesn't improve it would be a Mac breakfast just down the road next time!!
Close to the airport, bus station next to hotel
The shower did not work properly and I never managed to get hot water. This was a room for 3 and there were only 2 biscuits in the coffee tray. I thought it was mean all the more as we could not have breakfast (included in the price) because we were leaving early for the flight. I think he could have offered a few more biscuits as he knew we would have nothing else to eat. The room was clean in appearance but fitted with cheap stuff (second hand shop). The curtains have not been cleaned for quite a while and the bed covers did not look very clean (either)
Bathroom : not easy to adjust water temperature, or even to get hot water
